Crypto sniper bots: how they work and where they fail

The execution sequence

A responsible sniper workflow is configured before the market event. It identifies a chain, token, route, participating wallets, amount, gas or priority-fee behavior, slippage boundary, risk checks, and optional exit rules.

  • Observe the configured readiness condition.
  • Resolve a supported DEX route and live liquidity context.
  • Run the enabled preflight and token-behavior checks.
  • Build and sign a bounded transaction for each selected wallet.
  • Submit, observe confirmation or failure, and record the result.

Why faster does not always mean better

An early transaction can still receive a poor fill if liquidity is thin, price changes before inclusion, a token has a high buy tax, or another transaction changes the pool first. Aggressive gas or priority fees can increase cost without guaranteeing ordering.

A sound configuration therefore balances timing against maximum acceptable price impact, token behavior, liquidity, and transaction cost. A failed safety check should stop the attempt rather than be silently bypassed.

What to verify after an attempt
